I have provided scans of the pages Dick appears in. The text is too small to read... this is deliberate. The purpose of the scans is to show other fans the scope of Dick's role. If you want to read, you will need to buy a copy of the comic... and support DC writers and artists.

Summary:
I want to state from the outset that Harley Quinn's character has never worked for me. She was created in the animated series and then adopted into comics. I don't find her quirky and funny, nor do I feel sorry for her. She has no training and yet is able to match it with Batman and the Bat-team. I understand that Poison Ivy injected her with Antitoxins so she is immune to the Joker's deadly laughing gas, but this same injection must have given her the strength to match Batman in a fight and the martial arts ability to best Nightwing. Sorry. She simply doesn't work for me.

In this story, Oracle is looking for someone to deal with Harley Quinn but all of the Bat-team are busy. Nightwing is shown covered in a net.

Story Arc:
Quintessence

Summary:
Dick drops into see Barbara and there are some nice moments between them. Dick is shown to be upbeat and positive. The pair appear very much in love. Robin calls in for help and when Nightwing responds with "No need little buddy", Robin appears less than happy about Nightwing's offer of help. Before he can explain, Dick races off to join him. When Nightwing arrives he learns why Robin was aprehensive about his help - Harely Quinn is impersonating the original Batgirl. Dick responds with anger but sadly, he is shown to be incredibly imcompetent and Harley escapes.

Basically this is a poor showing of his abilities, but I did enjoy the banter at the beginning so I've rated this story as average.

Summary:
This is one of those Batman arrives to save the day stories, but Harley escapes anyway. Nightwing plays a supporting role and is really only seen in fight scenes.
