The DC Multiverse is a fictional continuity construct that exists in stories published by comic book company DC Comics. The DC Multiverse consists of numerous worlds, most of them outside DC's main continuity, allowing writers the creative freedom to explore alternative versions of characters and their histories without contradicting the official continuity, permanently altering it, or both. The number of alternate universes used by the Multiverse construct has varied over the years due to DC Comics' policy of using or abandoning the concept at various points in its publishing history. (Borrowed from "Wikipedia" which was based on Wallace, Dan (2008). "Alternate Earths". In Dougall, Alastair. The DC Comics Encyclopedia. For more information, please check both of these.)

As a result of multiverse and the number of mediums which have represented Dick, there are many versions of him seen in comics, television, movies, video games etc. Some share his name, some share his personality, some share his role in the Batman universe and some an amalgamation of two or more of these. :)

Below is a table showing some versions of Dick (62 so far). Just click on the image to be taken to a detailed account of that version. Please note: This area is under construction. At the moment only the "Darkbird", "Richard/Batman", "Moonwing" and "Redbird" links are active.
